All of us are probably familiar with the beautiful words of the angel in Luke 2: 10-11: “And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not; for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a savior, which is Christ the Lord.”

We are meant to be joyful. Jesus was joyful and is portrayed that way by actor Bruce Marchiano in the film, The Gospel According to Matthew. His choice to portray Christ, not as the somber, judgmental rabbi that Hollywood has often reflected in the past, but instead as a loving, joyful savior has changed the actor’s life. In this lesson for the third Sunday in Advent, Rev. Nancy shares three ways to bring joy to YOUR world (as well as 7 fun things you can do this holiday season to spread your joy!)

God will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing.— Zephaniah 3: 17
