Rumi wrote, “Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.”
All of have times when we feel out of balance. We sometimes hold on when it would be better to let go. And we sometimes let go when it would be best to hold on.

All of us are balancing lives that include family, church, friends, job, our spiritual practice and more. And adding to that, if we are experiencing a challenge in any area of our lives, it can be even more difficult to find our balance. How can we find our balance?

In this talk, Rev. Nancy uses the image of the fulcrum as a symbol for balance. When we are “in our fulcrum,” even when the scales of life are tipped, we can maintain our balance. She gives two important ways that we can be in our fulcrum: One: Do what is yours to do and let others do what is theirs to do, and Two: Become comfortable with uncertainty. To learn more, we invite you to listen to the full message.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.— Matthew 6: 33

P.S. Here’s a fun parable on getting comfortable with uncertainty.
