In this lesson Rev. Nancy tells a story that invites us to ask ourselves three questions:
Would we – by our actions – be mistaken for Jesus?
Are we listening to the call of Spirit within us?
If so, would we answer that call by taking action?
Each of us must make the leap of believing in God to living as God would have us live. Rev. Nancy gives three ways that we can take that leap. Jesus empowered us to do just that in Matthew 5: 13-16.
“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket, but on a lampstand, so it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
