Dear Ones,

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

-Isaiah 9:6

This passage from Isaiah is a favorite of mine. It tells of the birth of a child that will be born to each of us. This child is then described as all that we will ever need in our lives…one that will uplift us, guide us, and be to us our God, our Parent, and our Peace. What a profound description!

Spiritually, that child and savior is the inner Real You; the infinite, eternal Selfhood of you, your Christ Consciousness. When this revelation of our true identity dawns in our awareness, our human-appearing self is redeemed. We surrender our outer self so that God thinks through our minds, loves through our hearts, and lives through and as us. This is the great secret that lies at the heart of all faith paths; it transcends all boundaries and differences and labels and religious denominations.

This Christmas, 2016, we celebrate your Self-discovery. We celebrate that your Real Self includes complete wholeness of spirit, mind, and body. We see you filled with both the confidence and the humility that comes from your Self-knowledge. We see you blessed with increasing spiritual understanding as you fearlessly and openheartedly give your gifts. May you know how loved and supported you are by All That Is and by all of us.

This Christmas and always, our hearts are filled with gratitude for you and for all the beautiful ways you make God visible in this world.

Merry Christmas with Much Love to You and Your Dear Ones,
Rev. Nancy
