day4When we think of wisdom, we may think of knowledge or of being well-educated. Book knowledge and education are wonderful and desirable, but these will not necessarily make us wise. Wisdom is the discernment and guidance that comes from higher intelligence – from God. Ordinary thinking comes from the conditioned mind, but Wisdom arises from Higher Consciousness. We know that we know. We receive ideas and guidance and we know that they are right for us.

Wisdom includes judgment as well. Not the kind of judgment we may think of when we talk about being “judgmental.” By this we usually mean critical. Wise judgment is something higher than ordinary judgment and the Gospel of John 7: 24 talks about the difference: “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

Our Divine Power of Wisdom is our Higher Intelligence – the wisdom of the Christ Mind within us. As we identify ourselves with this Intelligence, and as learn to be present and patient to its wisdom, we access it. Now we no longer need to rely on the ego for wisdom, for we have with us the Wisdom of God and Its Intelligence. I love what Einstein said about this: “I want to know God’s thoughts – the rest are mere details.”

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.— Philippians 2:5
