I have a friend who begins each day by reading I Corinthians 13 with his wife. The two of them began this practice even before they were married, for they have found that it keeps their marriage strong and their love for one another alive.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
Divine Love is God’s Love in us. This love does not depend on conditions, circumstances, or forms. Divine Love IS, for it is the nature of God.
But God’s love – Divine Love – must be shared with others to be experienced. As we extend the circle of our love to include all forms of life, our planet, and the others who share this human experience with us, we come to know ourselves as Love Itself.
Our Affirmation for Today is:
I am love.
With My Love and Blessings,
