With this lesson, Rev. Nancy begins a series on “Your 12 Divine Powers.” These powers are the qualities or aspects of your Higher Consciousness. There are other names as well for Higher Consciousness: Christ Consciousness, Christ Mind, Buddha-nature, Unitive Consciousness. But no matter what you call it, it is what we really are. These divine powers are our potential and they remain as potential until we develop them. Rev. Nancy’s lessons over this summer will be about how to develop them, so that we may be all that we were created to be.

This lesson is about Love; the love that is described in I Corinthians 13:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

Using stories and examples, Rev. Nancy gives an explanation of the difference between Love that is shared from our Higher Consciousness, and love that is expressed from ego consciousness.
